It is no coincidence that the first live event hosted by County Business Clubs Sussex, together with Inside Stories, is about the power of incorporating ‘story’ into your brand.
No matter the sector, the ability to create and incorporate an element of story-telling is one of the most effective ways to build, engage and resonate with an audience.
It’s not just about being creative, it is about using different tones of language on different platforms and creating substance.
As well as generating interest, ‘story’ brings a brand closer to customers by evoking emotion and empathy. It gives businesses opportunities to better resonate with audiences across multiple platforms.
Our first Mythbusters live event is: Everything you wanted to know about Business Story Engagement (but we’re too afraid to ask).
We chose to host this event to help Sussex businesses create and generate a new network / pipeline of customers and followers.
During the 90-minute event, Inside Stories will introduce you to and personify Kintsugi. This is the Japanese art of repairing broken artefacts with liquid gold to show where they’d been strengthened, but also to enhance their beauty. Metaphorically speaking, it is what Inside Stories does with the businesses it works with.
The company says: “Its purpose is to answer all / many of the common (and recent) myths about marketing and the art of attracting the right kind of attention for your particular market sector.
“This will reflect lessons we’ve all learned over the past year and form a legacy attitude and joint knowledge pool that can be used in any follow up events.”
There is real value in creating and incorporating ‘Story’ into each industry sector and the event will provide real world tips to take away.
It will not only demonstrate and qualify the need to be using different tones of language for different formats, for example email marketing, Twitter, FB, LinkedIn etc, but will also demonstrate expertise live.
It’s important to remember the value of getting this part of their marketing right before making changes with a digital agency or development team.
Without this, there is no substance or empathy with their audience and their message is open to misinterpretation, lost time and ultimately, lost revenue.
